Segala project sold Trillion Resources Ltd TLQ Shares issued 22,364,500 Feb 23 close $2.20 Tue 24 Feb 98 News Release See Oliver Gold Corporation (OGO) News Release Mr Lawrence Nagy reports Oliver Gold and joint venture partner, CMC (WA), a 51% held Trillion Resources subsidiary, have entered into an agreement with Nevsun Resources to sell a 100% interest (exclusive of any government of Mali participation) in the Segala and Dar es Salaam concessions in Mali. The total price is $17 million, one half of which is payable on closing by way of $1.7 million in cash and 1.7 million in Nevsun shares. The remaining 50% will be paid one year after closing in cash or by the issuance of 2.125 million Nevsun shares at Nevsun's option. Nevsun will use its best efforts to clear all shares issued by a prompt offering prospectus. Oliver Gold's net share of the above proceeds will amount to 50% of all cash and shares issued. Oliver Gold, Trillion Resources and CMC (WA) have expended in excess of $19 million over the past three years on property acquisition and exploration at Segala and have identified a resource of approximately 1.3 million ounces of gold. All parties to the transaction agreed that consolidation of the Segala, Dar es Salaam and Tabakoto properties and resultant economics of scale will enhance the viability of the project.
