Comey could have kept FEEDING LIES to the media saying Trump is a Russian asset etc... Then Schiff calls him as a witness and Comey would make stuff up about Trump. That is what may have happened.

I wonder why the President said that about not being in office now if he hadn't fired Comey. IMO, firing Comey made them lose their minds and they went bonkers and all out to negate his presidency. They were sure they "had him this time" and would destroy him with the appointment of a Special Prosecutor. They even had quite a bit of RINO help. Because of their arrogance and their partners, the 2nd Dimmocrat party (the fakepress) they fk'ed up royally and went too far too fast. They knew they couldn't get caught, and nobody would report them. They were wrong. Trump and Nunes were bullheaded and knew how to fight in the streets and alleys. They persisted, kept getting more people on their side and more disclosures. None of the fake bombshells mattered any longer. The House members came over first, then the Senators followed. Each member was important in their own way but Nunes was the linchpin.
