I must be a very talented short seller, as I was well over 90% successful last year. A little better if you mark to market and count my still open AVNT and ENML shorts.

I think you're mixed up on the options as well, believe it's better than 70% expire worthless. Expiring worthless would mean that 50% of the positions that held to expiry lost, as there is an equal number of long and short positions in the options market. Also, more than 75% of options are profitable at some point in their life. The problem with options is that most people get greedy, that's why they lose.
