Sorry Woody, I'm a skier and used to love ice skating, I love snow and ice. I'd give a lot to get to Thule AB just for the historical aspect of it. It would be like seeing the bullet holes in the buildings at Pearl or standing outside the Officer's Club watching the massive subs silently slide out through the channel, knowing that the Russian spy ship is parked off the coast to also monitor its passage. I have never been to DG, I imagine the scuba activity is wonderful there, but monotony would set in after a while. Its a long way from there to anywhere. I think its about 8 hours from Clark field in the PI to Diego Garcia over mainly water.
