Pat,

not to brag but I was holding an awful lot of PUTS at that time and sweating it out.

When it opened with a gap down I happiliy sold most of my PUTS at a great profit.... only to see an unexpected further depreciation of the stock causing me to miss out on a phenominal extra profit<g>

Oh well that was a nice moment.

Patrick, thanks. How could I forget that one! Unfortunately, I took profits on the 60p's right before he flipped. My greatest case of profitus interruptus to date <g>

So we have a case where the two most recent major downside calls on MU come the Wednesday of an expiration week (8/13), when he initially turns, and an expiration Friday (1/16), when he sets a downside target.

I'd argue that those types of calls have more price impact during an expiration week than other weeks of the cycle.

FWIW, I'm going to check on the timing of his ALTR call a while back. He lowered his "estimates" on LSI, VLSI and TXN that day as well...

...December 2nd, but Morgan's Mark Edelstone (who is IMHO, the guy to watch on ALTR, as I think Kurlak's relatively weak the less PC-related the mix is) and a couple of others downed it.

Good trading,

Tom
