James, idea to ponder. Sprinkling babies with water is of course pagan and came from the pagans somehow. Maybe even from the DAvidic thing you speak of.

However, I refer you to the strangely wonderful and sweet little discussion between John and Jesus, when John tried to beg off and said that if anything, Jesus should Baptise John. But Jesus convinced him and told him by faith just to do it to please the Father. John did, and the Holy Spirit fell upon Jesus in front of John in a form John could actually see, as could others. At that time the voice of God was heard, yet some heard it, some heard what they thought was thunder. Others unspecified as to their relationship with God, could have been pagan scoffers or barely believers, said "I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't hear nothing."

Very interesting, and it's probably in John. Just looked, no it isn't found in John.. But very interesting discussion to study. When I read scripture I can hear the normal conversations behind the stilted King James. If lined up with Strongs I think that is acceptable to interpret these stiff and silly sounding conversations in the way we speak ourselvves.

So, I really believe water baptism for adults who go through savation and finally hook up in spirit with the living God should then make their way to the river or pond wiht the other believers. I know that was rampant during the Move of God which apparently moved on by l983.

I'm out of here.
