It's concerning to me to see so many people blow this off - not saying it's time to panic, but we really don't have all the information we need to make an educated analysis, imo. I do not trust the numbers coming out of China, and we don't have enough statistical data to extrapolate out what the R0, mortality, etc is at this point. I do stand by my claim that it wouldn't take much to overwhelm our health care system...was talking to Ski about it on Twitter and he agreed with that statement, as do friends of mine who are physicians, nurses, etc. Out of 12 reported cases in the US, 3 (that we know of) are sick enough to require intensive care. As we get more meaningful numbers out of other countries, the picture will become clearer.

From an investing viewpoint, this certainly has the potential to be a black swan event. Have any of you come up with any defensive strategies at this point? Would be interested in any ideas...
