I think it’s worth taking professionals seriously. When I sit down with a car salesman, I may walk away thinking I got a bargain, but it’s safe to assume that he’ll be the one smiling all the way to the bank. Leftists are pros at gaining political power. That’s all they know, and that’s all they do. We had conversations on this board about AI taking over jobs. The normal answer is - every time there is a major innovation, it creates more jobs than it destroys. But what if this will be different? What if this time the new jobs will ALSO be better performed by AI? This is one of the things they are betting on. This would be a perfect juncture to realize the old dreams of Universal Fairness and Equality of Outcomes —- under the wise and humane leadership of people like we know who. It won’t go well... but I’m sure they’ll find a way to control things. And us.
