RR,

There you go again. This is the just the kind of of unsubstantiated baloney you always have to throw in. I know you have been asked this question by SB and others and I have never seen you answer directly.

I read the same news that you do. I do not know why you have a difficult time accepting the commentaries. Production Costs of Asian 16mb have been stated over and over again at $4.00 to 4.50. More times than not at $4.50. Is this the number you are questioning?...because it is not clear from your response.

Also MU and many independent news articles have indicated in great detail that MUs production costs were $3.00 to $3.50. This was indicated as the writers justification of MU being a low cost producer. Is this a number you are questioning?

In any event I have posted and shown documents to prove what others have stated and am tired of doing it again. I am sure you know how to use the search features on the web browsers rather having me do your work. I sometimes wonder whether you and other are reading let alone retaining the news set forth on this web.

Now no one is asking you to accept the various news sources since that is your perogative, but don't continue to state that it was never posted b/c it certainly was.

As far as myself doing calculations to derive individual production costs of MU and other semi companies ...well I do not know how to easily come up with these numbers and really have no interest in doing such.

What you may want to do to help yourself understand various companies production costs is to search on DJBEINO. Since lately he has provided many useful news reports on DRAM and SDRAM facts...Also I believe Yahoo and EBN had very good information.

Your reply is usually long and convulted laced with a few personl attacks and avoids a direct answer. Please tell us how you have determined that the rest of the asian sdram producers have a production cost of $4.00-4.50 while mu cost are only $3.00. If the mu="lowest cost producer" is not a myth please show us how you have determined these numbers. Be specific. Because appelton says is not acceptable. I have searched and have not been able to find valid fact to support such a statement. If it is so I have missed it. I genuinely want to know if this in fact is true or even likely. RR>>

Sounds to me you are being a little hard on DavidG !
You are asking him for Micron's production costs, but you do not
state what you think Micron's production costs are !
