That long term gold chart shows a beautiful rounding bottom over many years, a rounding bottom pattern is very bullish...

That's a great chart, it does put the picture of gold into a clearer long term perspective, thanks for the chart!!!

There have been a few periods where strong moves have been contra -- but many that have not been contra. Seems like the longer periods of advance have started contra to the market. OTOH -- sometimes gold has wiped out, shortly before the market went south.

I like your chart ... if the time scale were even a bit longer and on a log basis -- you really get a picture of where we are. Buy and hold here is certainly a reasonable strategy as long as that longer term picture stays the same.
