<Maybe there will be a new federal agency: The Department of Morals.

Seriously, who would ever want to go into politics and have every aspect of their life
examined by the media. I sure wouldn't. I have a friend with political aspirations and
she has the most incredibly dull life. I think everything is plannned so that it presents a
"pretty" picture.>

Sorry, Diane, you didn't say that, exactly. It's just that the post I quoted above made me start thinking about whether it is actually dull to have a monogamous marriage and obey most laws. I feel a lot better, happier, and not in conflict when I do that. I think that inside, most of us have a voice of conscience or something which really lets us know when we are going outside the bounds of morality, and that when we do, we don't feel as good about ourselves.

I feel a lot better when my conscience is clear--I don't enjoy agonizing about my behavior, and I do enjoy sleeping at night. I am not saying this in a way where I am moralizing about the behavior of others--just my own.

Basically I am just musing about whether a non-titillating, but very cleanly lived life, has to be boring, that's all. Sorry if I confused you--I'm definitely not trying to ascribe to you statements that you didn't make, and I wanted to clean that up.

Do I make sense now?
