Shame on the WSJ. I know you copied and pasted the info so it's not your fault but to use the phrase "Shares Sold Short" to describe the number appearing next to that phrase is inadequate and hence deceptive:

e.g.
Short Interest (01/31/20)
Shares Sold Short 923,178

In fact the number shown represents shares sold short AND NOT COVERED as of the date shown. Since some folks use short sale data deceptively all the time the terminology needs to be used properly and consistently and the WSJ should know better.

The quantity 923,178 should appear to the right of "Short Interest (01/31/20)" and the second line shouldn't even be there.

Thanks again for posting the data.
