I have to disagree with you, you can get a 256 NVMe drive for 46 bucks for your OS and use HOD for storage. This way your PC will boot in 10 seconds rather than 2-4 minutes.

My OS drive is 2TB which is the Windows limit and also keep a 2TB OS clone.

When large capacity SSDs become more affordable I'll start using them more.
