I always at least attempt to present either a range of views when I am discussing something, some hard data or research, or try to make clear that I am offering just my own personal opinion. I am not the kind of person who stomps her foot and refuses to discuss an issue any further because someone has presented objective evidence that something I said may be incorrect, for sure!!

Another thing that bugs me nearly to distraction is people who deliberately misinterpret the intent of a post and/or take it out of its original context, leaving the casual reader/lurker to think something is, when it isn't. I really hate it when that happens.

Good point Holly, and perhaps one not made often enough around here.
