"The Cutting Edge"

Got a mailer for this toutsheet run by Brian Hicks which states on its masthead "To make the biggest profits, you must invest in the smallest stocks." The letter offers two teasers. The first is "A tiny, little-known California company" which has won "exclusive FDA approval for a laser surgery device - a special drill for dentists." The company, of course, is Premiere Laser Systems (PLSIA) which was a momentum play in the late spring 1997.

The second teaser is a company which "has developed a quick, easy way to cure male impotence.". No, it's not Vivus (VVUS), which has an actual product (MUSE) on the market. It's "little known" MacroChem Corp (MCHM) which is trying to win approval for its Topiglan erectile dysfunction gel. See biz.yahoo.com for the latest status on this effort.
