A quick follow up question about headphones, if I may ask...

I was reading that leaving the headphones plugged in all the time could be a problem because turning the computer on (or off) could send some kind of electronic power or signal surge to all the plug openings, this surge when being turned on or off could blow or partially damage the sensitive speakers inside the headphones...

Does that make sense or is that being a little too overly cautious???

Your thoughts on this would be appreciated... TIA
