I2: If memory serves, the U.S. Constitution requires the presiding
chief executive to report the state of the Union to the Congress
"from time to time." Pursuant to this Constitutional directive, ord-
inary men might be expected to make ordinary reports to Congress.
But Bill Clinton, by his account, is no ordinary man. Bill Clinton
is a product of the narcissistic 1960's generation. The world is a
world that revolves around him. All that exists- per the self-
absorbed, hedonistic philosophy of his generation- is merely an
extension of his all-consuming ego. Therefore, it would hardly
surprise if Bill Clinton perceives the mandate of a Constitutionally
required report to the Congress on the state of the Union as an
opportunity to defend the state of his union- marital, psychological,
or otherwise. If the electorate always gets what it deserves, God
save our Republic.
