Virgin Galactic...that's Richard Branson's operation. They are finally on the ground here in NM at the Spaceport with their carrier craft and the rocket powered glider type thing. I guess the fact that they just had some successful tests and are now setup here to start the commercial operation is propelling the stock up. In February, a new version of Virgin Galactic’s winged craft SpaceShipTwo soared at three times the speed of sound to an altitude of nearly 56 miles (99 kilometers) in a test flight over Southern California, as a crew member soaked in the experience. it's just arrived back here down at the space port. The new version is carried aloft to about 50,000 feet and then detaches like a glider. A rocket motor kicks in and puts you up into a sub orbital flight pattern. You get weightless and experience space flight without going fully orbital. Then you come back down and land (hopefully!!) at the space port. spacenews.com Cost for a ride is $250 k. They have a number signed up already. Best hurry up there dudes and get aboard. All that money you've been making, GZ, could get you a nice seat. While you are up there you could probably see my little podunk cattle ranch about a hundred miles to the north if you know where to look and have binocs! Always liked Branson...colorful character. lh
