Back to CSCO - sorry folks --
For any longs that would like to know a little more information about the man who runs Cisco; his principals, organization, and strategy I'd like to refer you to an outstanding article that was published last month by Electronic Business.

cisco.com
then click on link for 'The Man behind Cisco'.

The article was based on a survey for 'CEO of the Year' in the technology sector (there's a survey recap after follwoing the article).

The article refers to Chamber's concern for Lucent; and something to the affect that his paranioa makes Andy Grove's (Only the Paranoid Survive) look placid.

One of the things that comes out in the article is not only Chamber's attitude toward front line employees, but that for each company that was purchased by CSCO, all employees were offered stock. What an incentive to keep everyone working together.

The article also tells how in tune Chambers is with both his customers and his organization; he has the pulse of his company and the market.

Also if you want to take the time to browse their site, you'll see how they are leveraging the web to serve sales, training, and administration.

Enjoy being a CSCO Long!!
