Stitch & Thomas: Speaking of Nestle and all..

We grow coffee (on a small scale) back home and we used to pick coffee beans during summer holidays. We got paid by our mom to buy candy or whatever.Funny thing though was she kept a bottle of NesCafe for emergencies and she still does.

<<But then making an Asian play by investing in Nestle, Siemens, et al is kind of like "kissing your sister". Its nice but making love with Michelle Pfeiffer is much nicer. I think it will be much more exciting and much more rewarding to pick a winner from the local issues.>>

The companies I mentioned are certainly not pure Asian plays, but they do have 'good' exposure in Asia in varying degrees and other international markets and as such they are indeed good investment vehicles.Of course they are not for trading and speculating but rather they are investments for the long haul.I have made money on many of these I wish I held on to them instead of selling them when I did.

Now on a lighter note....

As for 'kissing your sister', I wouldn't know about that as that sort of thing is frowned upon by the society where i grew up,and not only that the whole 'kissing' business inspite of who you do it with is not a popular pastime,at least in public <gg>.With the advent of MTV and Opera etc I heard things are changing though (that Asian value thing again)<<ggg>>. As for Michelle Pfeiffer, now that is a different story and I don't mind doing a 'Clinton' on her <gg>.You guys don't suppose I am being too explicit here for an intellectual forum and all ,do you???
