I didn't talk about Obama like that. I do talk about Sanders like that. Bernie's critique is fine, even his goals are fine as far as I am concerned, but his solutions are not. As John says, the transition period is problematic at best. He doesn't even begin to confront that. He says, four years is a compromise. He wants to wipe out history and culture but they can't be wiped out in a day, a year or even four years. Trump is the culmination of the "Reagan Revolution" I think--continued mendacity, lower taxes, less regulation, deeper and deeper class splits in society. Reversing it takes far more time and subtlety than Sanders has ever demonstrated. He has been in the Senate for almost two decades now and has never accomplished anything precisely because he is not a politician, he is an activist and there is a wide moat between those two types of people.
