Thinking about the numbers a bit more, the data from the Diamond Princess cruise ship provides some possible insight into the mortality rate. The passengers likely represent an elderly demographic under constant monitoring so it isnt completely applicable but it is better than the numbers from China. worldometers.info - 705 cases. - 36 seriously il/critical - 4 deaths That would give a mortality rate (thus far) of .56% in a mostly older demographic with presumably top rate medical care. Hopefully, it holds close to that number as it would be far better than the numbers we have seen for the elderly out of China. Slacker
