Hi Jeff,

At first I thought that the Ad was pretty lousy too. It caught my attention but didn't tell me about their product...

(And neither does the Nokia and Ericson Ads... Both of those are even worse.)

Actually, I was expecting too much from the Ad. Knowing the company, I wanted them to convey their product's salient features...But all they are trying to do is get the company's name out there first.

The more I analyze their current Ad, the more I began to appreciate it. They are going towards establishing that they are a "pioneering company"..... next they should progress towards establishing the message of "useful products"...

It looks like a good approach..

Current QCOM Ad slogans/message:
1) Cool Phone, weird guy
2) The Digital Revolution
3) We're building the Wireless World (only in Print Ads, not TV)

I love number (3), and I haven't figured out why this doesn't figure into their TV ads.

May be in future they can do something along the following lines:

Future CDMA TV Ad slogans/messages:
1) Clearer is better.
2) Coded is better.

Future QCOM TV Ad slogans/messages:
1) Envisioning Our Tomorrow.
2) Mobile Products for a Mobile You.

Future GlobalStar TV Ad slogans/message:
1) Bringing the world together.
2) Anywhere, Anytime...

The above are just a few things that I thought of. Please add to the List....
..... What Ad message should QCOM portray?
