Please re-read what I said.

Bernie didn't win last time. He won't win this time. He's not a good candidate in the same way Nader was (twice) a poor candidate.

Outcome1A = R's get Highest Electoral College Count (OR SI's cosmic likes D candidate)
Outcome1B = R's get Highest Electoral College Count (OR SI's cosmic likes ice cream)

Outcome2 = R's get Highest EC count
Outcome1 = Outcome2 in all cases (ORing <any proposition> doesn't change Outcome1A or 1B)

I don't like Outcome2. My liking Bernie is of no logical consequence.

This is what a Hobson's Choice is - if we don't have a candidate that can carry the EC then we lose whether or not I like who was running.
