You should ask yourself what happened during the Obama years that exploded our debt. Economic mismanagement is what happened. However, if you want to find out the real culprits, it is Entitlement spending and military spending. Those are the two biggest elephants in the room. You can blame the GOP for the military and I'll back you up on that one, but you have to blame the Democrats for Entitlements, which include social security, medicare, and other programs. Those are the two largest root causes of our deficits and debt. The Baby Boomers are just such a very large and long lived generation, they are bleeding us dry. In addition, all these damned wars all over the Middle East and our playing global policeman is also bleeding us dry. If you really cared about the deficits, then we'd have to do something about both of those. You know what will NOT solve those problems? Bernie's plans to spend another $50 trillion over the next 10 years, that we simply do not have a hope of paying for. So don't preach to me. You lunatics are about to vote in the biggest spender in history, and that's saying something.
