I'm sure you are quite smart!! I guess you are saying Gore is a hypocrite, and I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. I must say I like him more than Clinton. Oh, and you are saying the luxury tax was set so high that almost no one ever paid it? You are right that I did not buy a boat over $100,000, but I bet Donald Trump did!!!

6 cats you nailed it! The reason you never met a person that paid the short lived luxury tax is because the people who could afford it weren't stupid enough to pay it. They elected instead to go to Mexico, Canada or some Caribean Island to buy their goods. The real ones who were punished by the luxery tax were middle class boat builders and car dealerships, which had their customers stripped away by idiotic, social engineering loving liberal Congresspersons. This is the cause and effect relationship simple minded liberal's never seem to grasp. Michael
