James, I was raised in a very small very "legalistic" church as a youngster. However, my parents were authentic and at the age of 13 they moved and I was in a loving caring non-legalistic church. However, I returned to the "roots" of my parents' denomination because they had brought me to Christ and within the limits of their understanding, they nurtured me in Christ. My kids are the 4th generation within that denomination.
It was through this "denomination" that I learned to appreciate and desire to become a "soul-winner." So, through training, seminars, prayer, practise, practise, practise, I finally through the years have shared in homes several hundred times---perhaps a thousand times, God's plan of salvation---utilizing about an hour presentation---using the Bible---I can tell you, the plusses far outweigh the minuses that my denomination has.
I look at churches today, and I think it is the "particular" church you may be in---and---of course, as I stated earlier, I was fortunate to have had authentic Christian parents.
God bless you as you live out your life of God's marvelous grace in your life.

Jack

James;

For what it's worth I am sure many will say I am wrong but this is the way I feel on Baptism, and I refer to Scripture and also the way I feel Spiritually.

7: And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
8: I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

Mk:1:8: I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

That person John is talking about is Jesus;

My belief is that if you accept Jesus as the verse say's he will Baptize you (Jesus). But I am sure many will come back at me and refute what I say and will skip around to prove there point but remember James baptizing is big money for Churches today I don't think they wish to accept the truth.

P.S. Look at what the verse say's "baptized you with water" then it say's "BUT he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

Also remember the prisoner on the Cross next to Jesus no one asked for a bucket of water.
