Hi Rick,

Well I have to be a little excited about today. :+ )

So happy for you.

I'm 4 years in,and did not find it easy at first.

I was very prepared from a planning perspective and find I still spend an inordinate time on this computer.

Even with other Things to do , that I'm passionate about.

As you note the friendship here at SI is impressive with so many sharp people sharing GREAT THOUGHTS.

My advice is don't over plan.

Wake up and do what you want to do.

There were so many "When I retire , I'm going to do that". Once I had actually retired, many of those "I'ma gunnas" still held that status.

Enjoy having flexibility and drift to that which pleases you the most.

Retirement is a FUN thing to do.

Congrats buddy.

May you find Joy with the future for many more years and the most importantly Contentment with your past.

Sounds like you have that one nailed already!

Bob

Richard that is fabulous that you feel comfortable retiring. I wish you and your wife bliss in your retirement years.

I have a little over a year to go and then i'm also retiring. I'm planning to exercise more, focus more on stock investment, spend more time with my family, and do some R&R.

Does that mean you're no longer to post actively on this board?

Congrats on your upcoming retirement!

"you can do anything you want and not planned" - As long as your wife says it's ok.
