I agree. Although I should say that most rescue dogs in Ontario are imported from the US, St Lucia, and Korea. Apparently people here treat their dogs well and there is a shortage of local dogs to save. BTW, it is not just breeders who should considering importing. You are probably better off importing most German breeds from Europe. And some breeds are just too hard to come by here (one of my favorite breeds is the Lagotto Romagnolo which is very hard to find here).
