I may be an anomaly to you, but I am a garden variety progressive.

When I am with progressives we generally agree on almost everything.

There just aren't very many progressives on this thread.

You are the anomaly, Koan, not the majority of the people on this board. Or even the great majority of Democrats around the country. But as usual with your limited perspective, you can only see things through your ideological lens. That is a fact, not an opinion.

Sanders, Bloomberg, and Warren share one idea. They all proposed massive taxes on the rich. Bloomberg campaigned on taxing the rich by at least $5 trillion. Sanders doesn't tell us how much and Warren says $20.5 trillion.

Sanders and Warren are less pragmatic and are very much like Reagan and other republicans. They don't care about the deficit. They have an idea and that idea is all that matters.

In the end, it'll be Biden. It was always going to be Biden. Why? Because he doesn't tell us what he wants to do. He's the perfect candidate for the 21st century. Saying what people want to hear defines fox news, talk radio, and every republican in office. Doing the right thing isn't part of the equation.

Was there a better solution than "stop and frisk?" Yes, stop everyone and frisk everyone.

Is there a better solution to trillion-dollar deficits other than trillion dollar tax increases? No, and Americans hate tax increases. We want free stuff and we want our taxes cut on top of the free stuff. This is the legacy of conservatism and I wish progressives would stop calling them conservatives. They cut taxes and they create debt. They're not conservative.

So what is a moderate? A right wing nut can easily get elected without one person demanding he move to the center. He doesn't have to be moderate.

You think the country wants moderates because others were moderate. We don't know what Americans want until we give them a choice.
