I had "Local pets only" turned on and still ended up with a boatload. Importing dogs ... Yes, there are decent outfits doing good work but there are also individuals who seem to have turned dog import into a business. Came across one of them during my last search. He imported dogs from Hungary more or less to order. Many rescues have "problems" ... True but most are fixable and it doesn't take much more effort than to properly train a puppy plus I have always been a sucker for problem dogs :-)
