I apologize... I have just caught up with the discussions since last Thursday, and I am appalled at the Trump fanboys and apologists. So, this post is AFTER the bloodbath in the market today. Watson Youth, you have called people libDems and libtards. Wow, what a casual summary of the colossal FAILURE to address the coronavirus problem by the Trump administration. Yes, you are correct. The test kits are coming a bit late. An understatement if ever there was one. What does this mean? In South Korea, as of several days ago, they had tested 167000 people. In Singapore, they tested early enough to CONTAIN the disease. The case count in China is now being reported as having peaked as well. How many weeks has it been in the USA that "the disease is spreading through the community"? What? No outrage over this? Why are they letting it "spread through the community"? Today, I read that the USA is NO LONGER IN CONTENTION for CONTAINMENT. We are in the MITIGATION phase. Why? No testing. Why? The USA COULD have used the WHO test kits. But NO, they wanted to use their own. Which did not work. Also, you could only get tested if you had traveled to China. In other words, if you were one of the unknown carriers of the disease, they would not test you. Even today, despite claims that test kits are available, I read statements by doctors and nurses who cannot get test kits. The point is, the time to test is when you can catch the unknown cases spreading through the community, so you can stop the spread. Now is about 6 weeks too late. Look, the Trump administration has shown its colors many times. They would not let sick people disembark from the cruise ship, because Trump wanted to keep his "numbers" low. His own words. So, these sick people were stuck on the ship, when they needed to be put into a hospital. They did not test, because that would "keep the numbers low". Today, Conway and Kudlow claimed the disease was CONTAINED. In direct contradiction to the health experts. You can BS all you want about what Trump's "hoax" was.
