It's a design issue. NT, like most huge OEMs have a tremendous paranoia w/vendors, especially value-added types like SPCT and PWAV. They expect tremendous margins to specifications that would'nt make a difference at all in actual use but they are paranoid. When PWAV sells direct to a USWest or Bell South, those guys can't even measure down to the levels that an NT requires, but the hardware works in the cell system, so they are happy. PWAV will have a LOT of extra engineering to do, to meet the technical requirements of NT, which is why SPCT is so close w/NT. No other vendor has consistently met NT's rigourous performance requirements as well as SPCT, they have really cutting edge technology. Too bad PWAV and SPCT don't merge, they would then bury what is left of HP/Avantek, MPD, AML, and the other fringe PA manufacturers.
