Fair enough, but I expect people to know what I post are simply my opinions. Just like the opinions everyone else posts. koan, that's not the problem. I can't speak for everyone here but I would be surprised if anyone doesn't understand that. My problem is the level of generality in your opinion. Without evidence. To assert, even as an opinion, that "progressives" believe/think/etc., given the non monolithic character of this thing called progressive, calls for at least a bit of humility/nuance/evidence. I think a remedy would be for people who disagree with me to challenge me specifically on an issue. That way it can be discussed specifically. With vague generalities, people often disagree based on their subjective understanding. Completely agree. But part of the problem is the level of generality you routinely post from. It's extreme and invites responses at the same level. Offer some evidence for your generality and then I, at least, can dispute the specific.
