Is the Coronavirus the perfect storm for Donald J. Trump?

Jon Bourgetti, studied BS Degree in History

Oh YES!

A “perfect storm” is when numerous threats all come together at one time.

Consider all the weaknesses of Trump's administration, the deadliness of covid19, and Trump's shockingly arrogant stupidity about covid19.

Trump gutted the CDC in 2018 because he didnt “like paying people to sit around and do nothing.”

Covid19 is present in more than fourteen states now (7 Mar).

Trump told sick people to “go to work” and that covid19 is “very mild.”

Covid19 has disrupted the global supply chain because so many components for US products are made in China. Major American companies cannot finish their products.

Trump continues his trade war with China - the Port of Long Beach is piled high with empty shipping containers, there a four ships in harbor of one of the biggest ports in the world, and 25% of the Port workforce is idle.

Trump has no communications director. His inane and contradictory statements cause more alarm than reassurance.

The US stock market is dropping like a rock. Trump does nothing.

Trump is concerned only about his re-election and nothing else.

VP Pence is a dunce. He is now the covid19 czar.

Trump's ONLY claim of success is the US economy, and now the US economy is imperiled.

Covid19 is 3% fatal. There will no vaccine for at least a year.

It really was just a matter of time before *something* fell apart. Trump is so remarkably incompetent, and he surrounds himself with yes-men who have no idea what their job duties actually are, which drives the competent people away (if they aren't fired fired for insufficient “loyalty” first). No one bothers to keep the wheels of government turning because they are too busy praising Dear Leader; which means that there will be a jam-up in a vital place or a wheel will come off, or an explosion for lack of maintenance eventually. And all Trump and his lackies are worried about is dodging the blame. They can't fix the problem because they are too busy either denying that a problem exists, or trying to pin the blame on someone else.
