TMV went from below $5 early in the week to around $7.5 this
week--as the 30 year recovered from being below 1% (possibly
it was as low as about 0.7% on Monday) to end the week just
under 1.6%

$5 to $7.5 is a nice move if you're day-trading, and yet I'm not
sure I would have got any satisfaction whatsoever had I made
that trade. I'm not even sure it would have been smart to try that.

fwiw, It looks like the ten year moved from below half a percent to a
range today of about 0.85 to 0.98%

The Federal Reserve accelerated previously announced purchases
of Treasury securities on Friday in a bid to prevent strains in financial
markets from worsening.
