Spank & All...Mark Haines response to my Friday e-mail follows:

To Squawk Box: Subj: The Whole Story... Just curious why your earlier comments on IOM sounded like this stock was sicker than a dog. The analysts blew their estimates...IOM does not predict earnings. In any case, if you have time later, you might note that this stock did post strong growth numbers and increased margins. Thanks, Michael

Response: Michael, this just isn't the way Wall St. works. Where do you think analysts get "guidance" on what the numbers are going to be?
From the company! Further, you are confusing the stock with the company. The stock IS sicker than a dog. It's down big time. But, the stock did not post strong growth numbers, the company did. Big difference between a good company and a good stock. Mark Haines

Well, I must admit, I did use "stock" in an overly generic way. My fault, although I suspect Mark knew what I was getting at...IMO, his response was somewhat presidential. Wish his Friday reports had INCLUDED the "strong growth...good company" part of the msg.
