For all I know, HP may have outgrown DELL in every quarter. I was just quoting a Data Quest report which attributes highest annual (unit, I believe) growth for the year to DELL. I made no assertions about what DELL did or did not do.

Tread, For what it's worth I bought DELL this am. I lost 3 points playing games. The stock is too strong to pass on. The CPQ/DEC deal will actually help DELL the stock in the short term since investors might believe that CPQ will have it's hands full and be distracted some. But in the long run, DELL has to get it together at the enterprise level to compete. IMHO.

Greg---> What will happen to the DEC's Alpha chip now????
