First off, it's crucial to limit tests so we don't know how bad it's getting. We can look to Italy and Iran to see how fast this thing kills people.

Needless to say a fever is the first sign in almost everyone. China knew this and has been checking temps at all public gatherings and buildings for many months.

As for the federal government, it's totally clueless.

Mayo says it'll have its own testing system within days. Their lab can do 200-300 tests per day. Needless to say, that's not what we need. They say they'll be ramping up testing each day but that's nothing compared to what we need. The federal government wants states to do it. Why? Because the federal government is required to pay for all tests.

Buy a thermometer. Anything over 100 and it's time to call your doctor.
