<<My estimates have consumer DVD players at under 10M units in year 2000. DVD ROM's will take off much quicker (over 50M units in 2000) but this will be a bloody market place, because there are so many big companies with DVD controllers and so much price pressure to supply this for under $100.>>

In regard to DVD, I am more concerned with the standards battle going on. No one can get together, and Hollywood continues to try to ferment as much uncertainty as possible. They are deathly afraid of the ability to make perfect VCR tapes off of the DVD disc.

I am concerned re OAKT and my investment in it. Are all they have now CD ROM controller chips ? There was one person who had good insight into the company like many others who post here, his name was Jonathan Ngo, I think. Jonathan, are you still out there ? Thoughts ?
