Josh.. I agree with Blasher..

Don't know how active u r.. But if anything doc could suggest more walking.. I don't c a need for statins with those numbers..

Maybe he wants a higher HDL / LDL ratio.. Only thing I good think of

Lots of regular walking or garden work etc
. is great for rounding up all the usual suspects

Try fish oil and flaxseed capsules for the high cholesterol. Maybe oatmeal or Cheerios.
