You voted for Gillum? I suppose he needed a good ass pounding by his gay porn star buddy because he didn't hear the memo about social distancing. The illegal meth was just a little booster.

Is this you by any chance?

No arrests were made and none are expected, said Miami Beach Police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez. He said police impounded the drugs.

“We responded as a medical call,” he said. “Though there were narcotics in plain view, no one was in physical possession of those narcotics.”

Asked if police typically don’t make arrests when small amounts of drugs are found, the spokesman said it depends on the situation.

“Officers are not going to make an arrest every time they go into a house and drugs are found. Every situation is different,” he said.

Gillum, who was mayor of Tallahassee from 2014 through 2018, thanked Miami Beach paramedics in his statement and said he’ll “spend the next few weeks with my family and [would] appreciate privacy during this time.”

Man found with Gillum at South Beach hotel room identifies as ‘pornstar performer’

Andrew Gillum

(News Service of Florida)A Democratic party star is facing questions about being alone and inebriated in a Mondrian South Beach Hotel room with a friend who once purported to be “a pornstar performer” online and who ended up hospitalized over a suspected drug overdose.

It all began when Aldo Mejias, a 56-year-old unlicensed physician, who lives near Coral Gables, was so afraid for Travis Dyson’s life that he was forced to call 911.

In a Rent Men profile, Dyson advertised his services as a gay male escort. On social media, he shared public videos and photos showing he is proud of his chiseled body.

Mejias told police officers he entrusted his credit card to Dyson, who also identifies himself on social media as a registered nurse. Dyson allegedly rented room 1107 about 4 p.m. Thursday.

Mejias told police officers he arrived to the room about 11 p.m., and he found Dyson alone with Andrew Gillum, the former mayor of Tallahassee and a former Democratic gubernatorial candidate who interacted with celebrities and was even compared to former President Barack Obama.

Mejias said both Dyson, 30, and Gillum, 40, were vomiting, and when Dyson collapsed he conducted chest compressions and called 911.

Officers reported finding three small clear plastic baggies containing suspected crystal meth on both the bed and floor of the hotel room.

“Officers then attempted to speak to Mr. Gillum,” the reporting officer wrote. “Mr. Gillum was unable to communicate with officers due to his inebriated state ... Mr. Gillum left the hotel room and returned to his residence.”

Miami Beach Fire Rescue personnel took Dyson to Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. According to the Miami Beach Police Department, Dyson recovered and was conscious and in stable condition.

Gillum was traveling without his wife and was at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel, a hotel employee said. The posh downtown Miami hotel is steps away from the Icon in Brickell where Dyson told officers he lives.

“I was in Miami last night for a wedding celebration ... While I had too much to drink, I want to be clear that I have never used methamphetamines,” he said in the statement he first released to The Miami Herald and later to Local 10 News.

The Miami New Times contacted Dyson and reported he said, “I personally was not celebrating a wedding. I don’t know if Gillum was in town for a wedding. He did not mention that” adding that he and Gillum have been “friends for a while.”

Gillum lives a very public family life as a father of two twin girls and a baby boy and he is a regular CNN contributor. On Friday, he asked reporters for privacy. The Miami Beach Police Department didn’t make any arrests in relation to the suspected crystal meth.
