I'm not sure I understand what you are saying...

If we have the capability, manpower and equipment to handle this via the military, that would be wonderful, but I don't think we do.

If you are suggesting that this is all a sham... I really have no words.

best to you.

There is a huge difference between setting up a field unit and a full fledged medical facility that can handle the type of cases we are going to have with this virus.
Our field units are just to stabilize the patient for medivac to Germany or stateside for actual in-depth care.
I doubt there are enough respirators in the entire military to even handle the cases in just one large military base if there is a surge in cases. Some of the bases I was at had almost 10,000 personnel, we had a full hospital on base but there were maybe 2 ORs and a couple OBGYN delivery rooms.
Most base hospitals were for the sniffles, minor injuries etc.
Clinton started scaling back military healthcare and it has been a accelerating ever since. Many bases don't even have a hospital anymore and they just send everyone offbase. Only remote bases still have full clinics.
Long story short, I wouldn't count on the military to medically save the day. I'm worried they won't be able to take care of themselves. We lost our way from when I first went in and we were fully prepared for germ warfare. I even was immunized against the plague. LOL

M.A.S.H wasn't totally fictitious.
