Well, well, well. Lookee here. Seems all is not rosey in the full-capacity end of the Mighty Q's cdmaOne system. Northforce says: ----------------------------------------- Another friend reported that in his IS department, colleagues are all complaining about their new cdma phones service. Their complaint is that they are always getting a busy signal. They have 30 phones in one building in a busy part of town. Everyone carries them around the office to stay in touch. It seems to me that the problem is related to a large conversion from analog to digital in the white collar ranks. No doubt, more digital cell sites needed in this neck of the woods. ------------------------------------------ Engineer informs us that at Mighty Q's home base, where they make the phones, there is no problem with handling high demand times. Well, you would expect that wouldn't you? They had to put in five times the capacity to handle the crowds at Qualcomm Stadium and the vicinity. It really all is a bit Mickey-Mouse. Nice attempt Caxton to goad me with -ricing. Tempting, but imagine the drool when I saw Northforce's complaint and Engineer's puzzled reply. Also Moose saying they solved the stadium problem by putting in much more capacity. It is self-evident that they put in either too much capacity or not enough. I wonder which it was. As Qdog said, when a Bronco fan is slobbering down his chin and screaming wild-eyed with beer in his hair he probably wouldn't be mucking around with a Q-phone. But imagine when they all started to leave. You think they didn't want to get on the phone, find out where the hell such and such is, report in on the matador getting gored, rant about the touchdown right in the corner [or was that Green Bay Cheeseheads]. I bet there were some busy signals. If not, they wasted money installing too much capacity. If there were, they lost money by not enabling the calls. It seems that where Northforce's pal works, there is a shortage of capacity so no calls get made at busy times!! Well, intermittent calls. What a hopeless system. Better sell your Qcom shares Ramsey. Mrs Su, if you are reading this and Ramsey hasn't seen it, you better phone the broker right now and sell the whole lot. Ramsey already sold half, so he knows it's no good. Save the other half from going down the gurgler too. It looks as though Qualcomm has built a system with no thought on how to handle peak calling in hot-spots. Oh dear! Mqurice PS: Tero Tora Tora is now thinking Qualcomm is the cat's pyjamas! Lookee here where he says Qualcomm share price will zoom.Message 3248445 Also here for java phone!!!Message 3186264
