DEC is for servicing BIG EXPENSIVE Compaq ProLiants, Digital boxes, and TDM Boxes. Very big part of future biz is BIG SERVERS.
CPQ servers already account for a substantial portion of profit and have a larger profit margin already. This move will give both TDM and CPQ divs a leg-up in competition with proprietary boxes from majors who court the top 1k orgs. Can compete with HWP, IBM, UIS, et. al. in big commercial marketplace.

stockman, after reading some of your responses up to now and some of the later ones. I can tell you don't have a clue about the compaq/tdm merger. let alone what decs part is. after your comment "dec is for selling and servicing tdm boxes". you couldn't be more wrong.
