Taoku Aoki [hope i got his name correct] was involved in a bad accident in early pre-season testing and suffered spinal damage which has left him with no feeling from the waist down. The accident happened on his first test season and he hadn't been on the bike since November of 1997. Hopefully this talented young japanese rider will recover in full and return to the Repsol team later in the year. My best wishes go out to this talented young rider. Jay Kells
