About Huawei... Spengler has been writing about it, I think for at least a year. According to him, all existing alternatives to their 5G technologies are not competitive - which is why even many of our allies went along with Huawei. He was promoting the idea that the government should initiate a private / public effort to develop a competitive alternative. Maybe it’s still something they need to consider

whatever it takes....between the embedded spying mechanism and intellectual property theft, it is pure insanity to sell out our critical infrastructure to china

remember when we were told we had to the majority of oil from the ME? our american ingenuity got us out of that mess...same with natural gas becoming a major export....get the bureaucracy and redtape off our manufacturing backs and watch what happens

Ericsson actually has more 5G network contracts than Huawei. But Huawei has some of the biggest networks outside the U.S. thanks to massive China subsidies that keep its prices low. Huawei has no real technical advantage that I can ascertain.

but for admitting being wrong and making him into somewhat of a national hero.
Posthumously. My bet is that there isn't a single Chinese person alive who had first hand knowledge of the virus origin or escape. Guessing.
