Sig,

I personally like the deal cpq made. We see the PC-companies step
by step moving to the high-end, from PC to workstations, from work-
stations to servers, from servers to ... well minis and after that
the mainframes.

I think we would also see the same exponential growth when CPQ enters
that market as we see now from Dell & CPQ in the server & worksta-
tion-market simply because both companies are very competitive com-
pared to the companies that are now dominating that market-segment.

I will take a few years, but I thinks that's what behind the CPQ-
deal. Just a wild ass guess.

If this really goes on Dell has to make a few new moves to keep in
shape. At this moment I think CPQ is better positioned.

There also is the thin-client trend mainly in the coorporate-market.
As far as I can see it this trend will continue. That will make it
more difficult for Dell to grow in this market on the long run.
The computer-power will be centralized. I really believe this trend
will continue.

On the other hand, Michael will know what he's doing so who am I
to judge.
And a still prefer a few shares of Dell over the entire Apple-company.

Just saw Bill's press-statement on TV. Not good. Is not having
a sexual-relation the same as not having (phone-)sex. Just wondering.

Just read some comments in the newspaper. The way the European
press looks to the soap comes very, very close to what has been
posted by 3 yesterday. I only have the article otherwise I would
post the link. You would be suprised how well 3 interpreted the
European view!
