you could be exactly correct. i feel we are in a much better position that during the early 70's when saudi increased the prices and gasoline lines formed.

we didn't live on our own production back then and were at the merci of opec.

i am sure the oil situation will be resolved by market forces. if russia is in collusion with saudi that presents a whole different picture. I see our commitment to protect saudi from iran etc taking a different turn. Remember russia still supports Iran.

all i read this is a price war between two nations over price/supply.
