Without trust, our trade will be limited to those things I can't get any other way ? But, perhaps taking a risk on you might be worth it for a nice profit ? And, if what results is only proofs, so now I know how and why I can't trust you, but now cannot, for a fact ? When I've already been hurt by trusting and trading with you ? There will of needs be corrections... addressing multiple aspects of the breaches of trust. Or, endings. So, the one and only thing that makes any thing of that now lost prior trust still work... without it ? Is that I don't have to trust you nearly so much, now knowing your limits, if I can trust the brand for quality in trade goods, and can trust your money instead of you in the rest. If the money is good... if the money works the way it is supposed to... I'll just trust that ? But what if the money is just a continuation of the rest, in the reasons I can't trust you ? Trade continues, anyway... only within new constraints...But, while the intrinsic conflicts remain... unfettered ? I got such a great deal on a Rolex last time I was in Hong Kong... and paid good money for it... to some guy on a street corner ? OK. No... I didn't... But there must be very many who have ? I'm not sure that "money is breaking" nearly as much as... money is being broken... by biasing its functions. The proper attributions for the deed being done probably matters ? If all of that sounds overly pessimistic or defeatist... I'm not one of those who thinks the demise of the dollar is an obvious inevitability. But, do I trust the current managers we've hired to operate the dollar for us ? Banks clearly have failed in providing "liquidity" sufficient... to prevent themselves from failing ? Pretty hard to give that a passing grade. If you are the Fed... seeing the sudden appearance of "helicopter money" as the economy shuts down... might not be the best job performance review you could get ?
